I have been involved in the visual arts since childhood. Drawing and painting provided me with a simple way to express complex feelings and ideas that were difficult to articulate. That continues to be true to this day.
I graduated art school at the University of Michigan, and worked successfully as a professional graphic designer in both educational institutions and the advertising industry. In the early 90s, I began painting seriously and had my first one-man-show in 1994 in Ann Arbor.
The process of painting is very opening and draws on the subconscious for direction. Being in that "zone" where time seems suspended is spiritually fulfilling. It is my hope that my paintings invite others to connect with them emotionally and to be gently touched by the commonality of human experience.
